My diet consists mainly of things I can cook or heat up quickly, as I work shifts and don’t often have time to cook anything big. I try to include fruit and vegetables whenever I can but it’s not always possible.

Recently I’ve been getting tired a lot during the day, but then I find I can’t always sleep at night. Sometimes it’s the opposite and I go into a deep sleep and don’t always wake up to my alarm. I’m worried that this is because I’m not getting the right amount of things from my diet.

Can anybody suggest the types of food I need to add?

How would you break down the calories according to food groups? Right now I’m usually getting about 300 in fruits, 200 in vegetables, 200 in grain, 200 in dairy, 300 in protein and 100 in fat. Is that about right?
